Married Nurse Strikes Back at Abusive Ex

KUALA LUMPUR: A nurse who was raped by a former boyfriend three years ago finally lodged a police report after he kept threatening to distribute nude photographs of her.

It is learnt that the nurse, who is now married to someone else, was introduced to the man by her stepmother in 2006.

She went out with the man, who claimed that he was a spiritual person and he asked her to join him in his business selling compact discs on religious teachings.

When she rejected the offer, he became infuriated and in an act of revenge, raped her.

He had been threatening her since then with phone calls that he would distribute naked photographs of her taken while they were together.

It is learnt that the threats continued even after the woman got married a year ago, and became worse after the suspect threatened to show the photographs to her husband and family members.

The victim lodged the report at the Pantai police station here on Friday.

Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Wan Abdul Bari Wan Abdul Khalid confirmed receiving a report on the incident, adding that the case was being investigated under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation.
