@sirius... check out the ext2 IFS driver for Windows (works on ext3 as well): http://www.fs-driver.org/index.html

Admin... dunno what you said, but I assume you are asking is the interface similar to Windows. In many aspects it is - if you use the KDE environment that is. GNOME is totally different and more like a MAC interface.

screenies for KDE:

thank spiky helps alot on mounting my ext3 pendrive on windows windows need software to run ext3...linux only need one line in terminal to run ntfs wut happen to the 'easy to use and friendly' windows huh

Admin, referring to opensuse, debian, fedora and many other distro that give full repository in it's dvd main package, u can get everything at the time of installation .. every software imaginable amarok media player with nice effect plugins ... GIMP which has more style than the old photoshop (photoshop u need to buy it while GIMP is shipped free)..it even has Blender the 3d modeler and animating software if u are a gamer, u can still play windows game via Wine u won't get this software in live-Cd.. neither do Ubuntu main package.. i dare say my opensuse is the best distro easy to use and eye-candy effects

bah on suse... Mandriva is most user friendly I've seen - but Mint and Ubuntu/Kubuntu pwn for repositories and ease of installation through console using:

apt-get install dvd::rip

or the visual synaptic package manager
I didn't like Mandriva so much because it is Red Hat based and I'm used to Debian based distro's. Want eye candy? Look at Compiz Fusion.

Windows doesn't read ext3 or ext2 because they imagine themselves superior to everyone else (bastards). anyhow... you can just as easily use FAT32 on that pen drive ;)
