A Website for UMPlife Forum?

What do you guys think about having a website for the forum?

I suggest the following sections:

• Introduction: history, objectives, mission, vision, milestones (like the day we achieved 1000 members etc)
  
• Community: bio of admin, moderators, member gallery
  
• Activities: TT, maybe in the future we can have a section at UMP bazaars etc.
  
• Forum favorites: the hottest threads, memorable posts, poetry, essays, music by members etc.
  
• Contact: admin email, links to other UMP-related sites etc.
  

It doesn't have to be heavy, the purpose is to promote the forum, like to give a preview of what we have before a person joins, plus to share the history & highlights of the forum.

What do you guys think? I don't know about the technical aspects of setting up a website, I'm just giving my idea

it is a very good idea from moderator Rowanlim, but any1 volunteer to setup the website, i can help in provide the info related to UMPlife, but i am not very good in writing. The site can be easily set up through the free blog service from blogger.com, or we can apply a free website from any free website host etc http://www.webs.com/ (free template + space + domain) ....

quite a good idea sis....
kita boleh jadikan webpage ni sebagai main page kita sebelum masuk forum....
contohnya macam http://www.drift.com.my/ .....
memang diorang ade main page & ade link ke forum diorang sendiri....
kalau UMPlife boleh ade nih....
memang mantap la....
boleh setanding dengan forum luar.....

sorry2, i nearly forget that actually this forum oso got 1 mainpage function called "portal" but i dint activate it....i wil try explore it 1st!!

anyway saya nak cadang boss buat 1 post dalam main office pasal carta organisasi UMPlife.....
letak gambar and detail about boss and all mod.....
pastu linkkan dekat main page.....
takpun buat 1 section khas untuk main page punya part....
