How do you protect your komputer?

hahaha, there's no shortcut man, search google because i believe no one here can explain to you throughly here .

All i can say here LINUX is another kind of com window but with a different name, with less viruses and spywares.

mana ada mahal, murah je. yg pirated la.

kene bayar gak... walaupun pirate... tapi open source(linux dsbnya) free... sama ada nak download atau request CD dari pengeluar...

I use AVG too, my guy recommend, then there are ways to remove the programs that the antivirus program can't take out but I don't know how haha my guy guide me through

• for free virus protection: AVG or Avira (which is what i use myself, but it gives a daily popup when it updates the definitions)
  
• for free spyware protection: spybot s&d or adaware 2008 free
  
• for free firewall: zone alarm
  

and if anything gets past all that, it is something that the applications have yet to receive definitions for, but there are diagnostic programs that can be run to detect them. and another application to be used along side it in order to remove the autorun entries. And then I can create a batch file (old school DOS commands) to delete all the files in one hit, and they will be gone for good.. not even going to the recycle bin.

yes.. Linux is indeed immune to viruses which are designed to attack M$ operating system. actually, most people who write viruses USE linux or MAC (which is also immune to M$ viruses)

try pakai avast pro..sape2 nak add aku skype king_zhaf99..dah pakai lame avast pro nie mmg bagos..kalo sesape gune vista tuh on2 kan la firewall n win defender bguna gak mende tuh...

the best way to protect ur own computer is only one thing... ur very own knowledge... even the best antivirus, antispyware, firewall wont get pass that... haha...

anyway, utk extra protection... aku gunekan AVG Free Edition 8.0... so far walaupun AVG ni ade up and down, this is AV is quite good... ckp utk mengebalkan sebijik laptop dari serangan virus kalo kene cara setting nyer...

and then, utk spyware ak xpakai pape... sbb ak sendiri da protect dgn tidak masuk ke lmn web bukan2... utk firewall, ak pakai Windows Firewall je... sbb pakai firewall third party ni leceh skit... tu pn sbb network UMP is flooded with virus yg bukan2... terpaksa gak pakai Windows Firewall... kalo x off je...

last but not least... Windows Vista!!!!! hehe... salah satu sbb mengapa Windows XP selalu diserang virus yg bukan2 adalah kerana bile cucuk je pendrive, die akn execute autorun.inf tanpa usul periksa... menyebabkan virus akan auto copy msk computer... dan walah... u're infected... tp in Vista, bile anda cucuk pendrive, anda diberi pilihan utk execute autorun.inf atau open biasa menggunakan application explorer.exe

but, malangya Vista is resource hungry... so, xsume org boleh pakai Vista... alternatifnyer = Linux... byk distribution, Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Edubuntu, Red Hat, SuSe, Mandrake dan byk lagi... tp kalo bg aku pakai... konfem jd "Ku Buntu"...

tp klu windows xp, korg leh ubah seting utk disable autorun..
vista agak berat ar.. xp ok la sket.
ak x penah gne windows firewall pun. avg antivirus ni pun ak instal sesaje je. x harap sgt prog2 antivir ni.

ye betolll... tp berapa ramai yg nak disable autorun??? it's a useful function... hahaha... tp kalo da jadi penyumbang utama, baik disable je...

pastu plk, antivirus... ni pn ak install sbb kang ad la mamat yg curi2 guna laptop aku, cucuk2 pendrive la... kalo ikutkan aku, mmg xyah pakai da antivirus2 ni... berat komputer je... dulu komputer aku wat gaming, xpernah ade antivirus... best je main game... janji pandai kontrol...

tu la... kadang malas gak nak pakai nt virus ni....tapi pakai jelah sebab nak jaga komputer....

last2 aku jadi camni.... dia kesan aku buang... kalau tak kesan, biar jelah....
