RM250,000 kos pembinaan seunit tandas!!!

empat unit tandas yg siap dibina dan digunakan sejak 3 minggu lalu di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Bayan Lepas (LTABL) "memakan" kos sebanyak RM1juta.

GEORGETOWN:
Mungkin ramai yang tidak mengetahui kos pembinaan tandas di Lapangan
Terbang Antarabangsa Bayan Lepas (LTABL) di sini yang mencecah
RM250,000 seunit hampir menyampai harga sebuah rumah.
Namun, itulah kos ditanggung oleh Malaysia Airport Holdings Berhad (MAHB).
Pengurus Besar Kanan Perkhidmatan Teknikal MAHB, Datuk Abd
Hamid Mohd Ali, berkata pihaknya membelanjakan RM1 juta untuk membina
empat tandas tambahan kepada kemudahan sedia ada.
“Empat tandas itu digunakan sejak tiga minggu lalu
untuk keselesaan penumpang,” katanya ketika mesyuarat dengan Ketua
Menteri, Lim Guan Eng di sini, semalam.
Ini kali pertama pemberita dibenarkan mengikuti mesyuarat
antara kerajaan negeri dengan pihak swasta bagi menunjukkan ketelusan
kerajaan negeri.
Pada mesyuarat itu, Guan Eng membangkitkan masalah tandas di
lapangan terbang yang kotor dan tidak setaraf status LTABL sebagai
lapangan terbang antarabangsa.
Abd Hamid berkata, MAHB juga merancang membina empat tandas lagi.
Beliau juga menjelaskan pihaknya menghadapi masalah vandalisme mengakibatkan tandas rosak dan peralatan hilang.
Ketika mengulas kos yang tinggi untuk membina tandas itu, Abd
Hamid berkata, ia sejajar kemudahan disediakan untuk penumpang di
kebanyakan lapangan terbang.

demit... i go pass the airport everyday going to work and back. the airport doesn't seem to be that great like KLIA... what for 0.25million toilet??? is it spacious like a bungalow???
or what they mean is 4 public toilet, like 4 public toilet building with many toilets inside??? i might accept that... but for 4 unit toilet, exactly only 4 people can urinate inside it, for 1mill, i guess this is why people are killing each other for government tender...
build sumthing like 250k, charge the government 1mill... after giving the that person 100k, that person 100k which he would've promised if he get the tender... he can even get 500k profit... double the cost... damn...

according to the statement, it is normal cost for "toilet" at airport... 
may b bcos of the materials used, special design, unique facilities...
