Konsert Amal Tabuung Sinar Peduli: A Disgust??

I didn't like how the person tried to pass off his opinion as everyone else's opinion. Malaysia is democratic, not a dictatorship.

I DONT REALLY AGREE ABOUT WHAT OUR NAIB CANSELOR,PROFESOR DATO' DR DAING NASIR IBRAHIM THINK .

WHAT I DO CARE IS THE TRUTH AND THE SPIRIT OF MAHASISWA CONCERN ABOUT CERTAIN ISSUES.I'D EXPLAIN THROUGH MY BLOG.

COME ON MISS ROWANLIM, MAHASISWA SHOULDNT TAKE FREELY AND ACCEPT OUR NC OPINION .EVEN MAHASISWA HAVE THE RIGHTS TO DENY PRIME MINISTER OPINION.RITE?? HE GOT HIS OWN OPINION.SO DO I AND ALL MY FRIENDS.WE SHOULD ACCEPT DIFFRENCE AND AS I SAID I DIDNT QUARREL FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE CONCERT. I DONT AGREE ONLY WITH THE EXISTENCE OF LAST MINUTE APROACH BY THE IRSYADI ENTERTAINMENT AS THE ORGANIZER TO ALLOW WOMEN ARTIST WITH UNACCEPTABLE ATTIRE AND HOW SHE PERFORM.EVEN I DO NOT KNOW WHO IS SHE.KALAU DATO' SITI NURHALIZA BLEH LA GAK LAYAN...SUKI PON OK.ITS A JOKE OK.HUHUH.

THE MORE IMPORTANT AND THE LESSON WE CAN GET IS,PLEASE DO RESPECT THE MALAYSIA CONSTITUTION, THE UMP CORE VALUES AND THE SPIRIT OF MAHASISWA PEDULI.

We obviously disagree. A member of MPP posted publicly that the company was tainting UMP's good name. Do you have any worry about the backlash the company may bring upon us?

My point is as a member of MPP, one shouldn't say things that doesn't represent other people's opinions.

I have respect for you Suffi because you really try to make a difference. But people like THAT should NEVER have a place in telling outsiders that ALL UMP-ians think the singer is a skank, that the company purposely disregarded our values & forgetting that the concert brought in money to HELP PEOPLE.

As for the company bringing the female singer last minute, I can't speak for the company but I can tell you from experience that this sort of thing happens ALL THE TIME. They have their own interests to protect too, their image, Sinar Harian's image....if a pretty girl will help bring attention to the devastation of Padang earthquake, then what's the problem?

I really think we took this issue too far. Both sides are faults but it's more to Suffi i guess.

1 - It is wrong for the company to bring the female singer that dresses indecently according to muslim's perception but it is also wrong for Suffi to voice out so loudly that the company is skank, disregarding our moral values. Professionally, criticism should be given to only the parties involved. In this case is Sinar Harian and to UMP admins only. Spreading it publicly is quite bad for the company's image. Eventually in the future, no companies would dare sponsor or participate in any event in UMP.

If I am the MPP involved,
I would do a meeting with the other MPPs asking whats their opinion. If they also feel that the concert is as verbatim. Then, write a professional letter to NC and ask permission to write to Sinar Harian pointing out this and that.

Not posting on a public forum or domain tarnishing the company's image, making UMP look like it's anti-whatever that is related to entertainment.

I agree the concert is quite boring =_= oops i mean quite wrong dari segi islam but i disagree on the MPP's approach. (especially on how poorly the letter was written.)

I sugges you invite slipknot the next time. I'm sure they will dress to cover everything.

2. Suffi made it as if Miss Rowanlim's opinion is going against muslim's practices which in my opinion, she's just sincerely voicing out her opinion. Why did i say so? Suffi's post about the constitution and etc by Suffi. I mean. =_= what the hell does the constitution have got to do with the bloody concert or post ? And note* (dont discuss about this here. It will make the topic longer. I would hate it if this minuscule topic would go on and on and on )

I discussed this with 1st year juniors, they are irritated because if that blog post is taken as slander for the female's singer's image, it'll be bad for UMP, because apparently that post is made "based on UMP-ians' opinions".

This is the concern that me & other UMP-ians have. Anakins proposed a good solution. For future MPP, they have to separate their personal opinion from that of the MPP. It's a vital distinction & sacrifice to make.
