Photo of Intoxicated Kangin Stirs Up Netizens

After a long-winded assault case & hit-and-run controversy, Super Junior's Kangin's time in the limelight seemed to be coming to a close after SM Entertainment semi-resolved the issue with an activity ban for the rest of the year. However, since this Sunday (October 18), a photo that captures a drunken Kangin with a woman was discovered on someone's minihompy and has circulated various websites, garnering much attention.



To make matters worse, the woman who posted the photo on her minihompy had a few words to say about Kangin. "I was lucky [to meet him]~ He's fun, interesting, well-spoken ... drinks well ... [and] is handsome, but he needs to improve his language [and stop swearing]. -_-"

Despite netizens' attempts to figure out the time frame in which this photo was taken, the exact date is unclear since it's gone through so many edits. Many believe that the photo was from over a year ago, judging from his build. The woman who posted the photo has received much flack for posting the image to the public during such a sensitive time; some netizens even went so far as to dig up her personal information and attack her.

In addition, this only served to fuel many netizens' disappointment in Kangin's tainted idol image. "He's an idol and his career is based on his image; why would he take such a photo? ... how can he recover from this?"

Other netizens defended Kangin, arguing, "[Kangin] just got a drink at a bar with a woman. What's wrong with that?" After all, Kangin is of legal drinking age.

Hopefully the hot reaction will cool down soon; even if fans & nonfans debate over this sensitive topic, their arguments & anger won't lead anywhere in the end.

Rookie group BEAST got in a car accident today. Though they were involved in a car crash, the boys weren't hurt in anyway.

Because they are not injured, they will still perform on Inkigayo tomorrow with no problem.

The accident occurred during the day on the Seoul Han-Nam Bridge after they were coming back from Music Core and moving to their dance rehearsal location. Cube Entertainment described the tiny accident. "The
car in front wasn't looking back and it was switching lanes not seeing
that BEAST's car was right behind. It was a small accident where the
two cars bumps into each other."

BEAST's representatives continued to say, "The members were surprised but no one's hurt."

After the accident, they got in another car and made their way to their
practice room. Good to know the boys are safe, they can't back out of
their battle with MBLAQ this easy.

'Invincible Youth', First episode jumps to 1st place in it's time slot, Amazing 'Girl Power'

2TV program 'Invincible Youth', which has a cast consisting of members from various popular girl groups, showed its potential by going up to the first place in it's time slot in the program's first episode.

According to AGB Nielsen Media Research, on the 23rd in its first episode 'Invincible Youth' had ratings of 9.8%, earning the first place in it's time slot with a 1% difference with competition SBS's 'Married Celebrities Show My Dear', which had 8.8% ratings. MBC's special 'Becoming mom in your forties' reached 7.9%.

'Invincible Youth' is the first girl group variety show, consisting of the so called 'G7' (Girls Seven) Yuri (SNSD), Sunny (SNSD), Narsha (BEG) Hyuna (4Minute) Goo Hara (Kara), Hyomin (Tiara) and Han Sunhwa (Secret), while the 'Uncle support' is formed by MCs Noh Joohyun, Nam Heesuk and Kim Taewoo, and comedian Kim Shinyoung helping as the only female MC.

On its first broadcast aired on the 23rd, the girl group members from 'Invincible Youth' caught the viewers' attention by revealing their faces without makeup as they prepared to go to the countryside. The girls showed a different side of them, too, performing in a talent show in front of the village elders and making them feel as they were their real granddaughters.

'Reservist Oppa' Kim Taewoo, knowing that the girls would be uncomfortable without a proper bathroom, got good
reviews on his appearance in the program and showed an ususual side of him, using his military service experience and making an outhouse from the scratch. Moreover, MC Noh Joohyun and Nam Heesuk showed that they can easily lead the program making the audience laugh every now and then with their antics.

'Invincible Youth' is a promising and unique variety show, and after its sucessful first episode, there is high interest in it, and also if it can keep showing more of it's 'Girl Power' in the future.

Star Golden Bell ratings plunge without Kim Jae Dong

Without the original MC, I guess it can't go on for long. Kim Jae Dong had left Star Golden Bell after four long years.

The episode that was broadcasted on the 24th had a devastating fall in ratings. According to TNS Media Korea, Star Golden Bell had an average rating of 11.0%. After the departure of Kim Jae Dong, the rating was just 7.6%, a drop of 3.4 percentage points from the normal ratings. It's speculated that the ratings fell mainly because of the change of MC's, as the program had kept a steady rating of 11%, and it should not fall that much due to guests or anything of that matter.

Kim Jae Dong filmed his last episode on the 12th in tears. Netizens were assuming that he was fired due to the death of former president Roh Moo Hyun and that he wasn't the same. KBS is also the Korean government channel, unlike MBC and SBS, so they are politically influenced. KBS has stated that he wasn't fired, but was just a change of MC's for the fall season. Kara's Nicole was also swapped with fellow member Gyuri.

On another note, ShiNee's Onew was the winner for this episode. it seemed like he was a studious student before his debut, since it was a word challenge, and he had breezed along through it.
