Malaysia snuffed out of World Badminton Championships

I just read today's news

Gah...What happened to Chong Wei? Why are all our players so flawed in mental strength?? Even our womens doubles can falter in such an important tournament...

At least our men's doubles fought well before losing in the semi finals...

she went for a tournament without any press-conference and came back with a gold. then only the press come.


all i've been seeing our national athlete, they always do some press-conference telling the whole world (well, malaysia specifically) that they're going to win for the 9th time and end up kicked-out even before finals. org cakap pe? SEMBANG saje.


i thumbs up and tabik spring to Nicole Ann David for Squash, Ho Ro Bin for Wushu, and last but not least, our forever-all-star of the country: Mokhtar Dahari and the geng for Soccer.

@MusTang: Ya I think Malaysian athletes need to CUT the publicity crap & get down to training. Like you said, I never see Nicol David flaunting herself in the media. She's serious about her training & has always been consistent.

Our badminton team could take a leaf or two out of her book.

From what i've observed, Nicole David has been doing training ON HER OWN by her own father.

which means, the expenditure and everything were all from her family's pocket.


she trains on her own effort and without any crappy publicity she was able to get the title NUMBER 1 SQUASH PLAYER IN THE WORLD.

Yeah that's what I heard too, she trained out of her own effort.

Now that she's made it big, she's got sponsorship by CIMB Bank, Milo etc.

She deserves the accolades for her efforts. Malaysian badminton team supported by government but the results like...meh

athletes should be like Nicole David.

Train by ur self. or at least go thru MyTeam.


soccer is the joker of malaysia. they demand for higer salary but still they are not training seriously + doesn't maintain their diet.

I don't know much about soccer, except that the top management are people who know little about sports.

If I'm not mistaken, even war-torn Iraq has a better soccer team than us

Ya true! I think they should stop publicizing the badminton troupe, focus on the game!
